The Atlantic Community Economic Development Institute (ACEDI) is a Cooperative based in Nova Scotia-Canada that carries out research, capacity building and asset mapping activities with the purpose of building sustainable communities. ACEDI is particularly oriented to suport lower-income groups among the First Nations, African Canadians and marginalized rural communities in the Atlantic Region and overseas. Since 1996, ACEDI has played an important role in shaping CED in Nova Scotia by linking itself with key community-based and government organizations. Its capacity building and educational programs have graduated over 600 CED praticioners from across the Atlantic Region.
